Meat raffles, hosted by the Pequot Lakes American Legion, are a great way to give back to the community while enjoying a time-honored tradition. Don't miss the Pequot Lakes Street Dance, which is an annual event that draws residents out to dance in the streets to live music and entertainment. The famous Ideal Fire Dept. Beef Feed is another annual event It is always held on the second Wednesday in August and consists of boneless baron of beef on a spit, all the fresh corn on the cob you can eat, buns, coleslaw, watermelon and beverage. Firefighters cook the beef and corn the day of the feed. Proceeds support the Idea Fire Department Relief Association. Great walking and hiking trails in the area include, Veterans Trail and Uppgaard Wildlife Management Area - just to name a few!
